Our residential model is designed to support the needs and desires of up to two individuals in each home. In this setting, we are able to create an experience that closely resembles family life. We encourage and support our members in seeking employment, attending programs to learn various skills, and developing lifelong prosocial behaviors.
We train our staff firsthand and on-site to ensure our philosophies are learned and utilized throughout each home. Each staff learns First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration, Safety Care, and the broad skills that accompany the Direct Support Professional training. We also train in the philosophies of Applied Behavior Analysis and do Person-Centered training for members with Behavior Management Plans and in need of Positive Support Plans.
Our staff is present around the clock in rotating shifts, ready at a moment’s notice to serve the needs of each person in their care. They provide support and skill-building activities while promoting healthy eating habits, hygiene, and independence. An experienced administration is available around the clock to guide and support staff with difficult situations and medical concerns.
We work closely as a team with local medical professionals, agencies, counselors, and therapists to ensure that each specific need is treated with the utmost care and attention. This continued level of care has earned us a reputation for successful treatment throughout the state.
Karen Lee, RN/CEO uses her many years of experience as a Registered Nurse to help and support those in our care with extreme medical needs. From observing unusual ailments, guiding medical care, to attending appointments for medication management.
Working with teams consisting of local Psychiatrists, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, family, staff, and the individual themselves, we are able to create plans to adapt and develop prosocial and desirable behaviors for people facing extreme obstacles with mood management, and agitation.
To help enrich the lives of our members, and to bring them joy, we seek out businesses and agencies in the community that provide fun, healthy, and meaningful experiences that they may not ordinarily have access to. We seek out community activities and throw parties for various holidays, seasons, and birthdays.
We nurture an environment of respect and dignity, promoting independence, and individual choice. We encourage members to participate in the planning of their lives from meal planning, to how they spend their days, to how they can achieve their hopes and dreams. As a team, we work on following through with making as many of these dreams come true as we possibly can.
